The Data Analytics for Student Success (DASS) programme offers training, webinars and workshops for University of Cape Town (UCT) academic and administrative staff who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in student data analytics.
The sessions cover various topics, including interpreting automated reports for UCT course convenors and utilising the institutional data warehouse for institutional decision-makers.

Introduction to Know Your Course / Students (KYCS) reports
This webinar aims to equip UCT course convenors and administrative staff with a comprehensive understanding of the Know Your Course / Students (KYCS) reports. Participants will learn how to effectively read the reports and extract valuable insights for continuous improvement.

BO 015 – for Throughput Cohort Analysis reports
This training is specifically designed for individuals who have previously used the SAP BusinessObjects (BO) software to access throughput cohort analysis reports and are looking for a refresher or assistance in generating these reports.
Format: These virtual and informal training sessions are conducted by a member of the DASS team. Duration: 90 minutes.

On-demand sessions
We offer custom, on-demand sessions for UCT course convenors and administrative staff, focused on specific aspects of student data analytics and UCT's data warehouse. These sessions require a minimum of five (5) attendees and are usually requested by faculty or department representatives.
